Note 9 screen colors look washed out after a trip to the beach

So I just came back from the beach and when I was in the car I noticed that the screen kept the colors washed out. When I was in direct sunlight I did noticed that colors were washed out but this is normal because when the outside light is very bright, it enters a high contrast mode to improve legibility of the screen under direct sunlight, So I thought that it would go back to normal when I went back to the shade.

So far it hasn’t. It’s like permanently in this high contrast mode and when the brightness is around the middle, the lower half of the screen shows horizontal lines that do not show when in minimum brightness or maximum brighness.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Sounds like you may have a damaged display and sensors. Was it in direct sunlight all day?

no, it wasn't under direct sunlight all day. it was under an umbrella for like 2 hours and under direct sunlight for maybe 15 minutes. I also had the camera opened by accident for like 10 minutes. Right now, the screen colors are back to normal but if I change the brightness it goes wonky again.

Yeah it sounds like the OLED panel may have been damaged from the heat of the sunlight. OLED panels can be sensitive.
