Backlight of iPhone 4 is dim after submersion

I took my iPhone in a lake a while ago, put it in rice, and tried to turn it on. It didn't work, so I ordered a battery from here, and it started working again. The only problem was the LCD backscreen was very very dim. I'm wondering how I can fix this problem.

Okay, my iPhone was submerged about a month ago. It wouldn't turn on at all and I put it in rice for about a week, and still no luck. So, I bought a new battery for the iPhone and replaced it. Luckily, the iPhone turned on, and I could see that the iPhone was up and running, but the screen was EXTREMELY dim. I had to use a light source (the beams coming off it) to FAINTLY see what was on the screen, but it was on!

Put the phone's logicboard in IPA, this removes any corrosion and may even fix this

If that dosen't fix it, you will need a LCD/digitizer assembly

The backlight is in the screen, there is also a small chip that shorts sometimes and will need to be replaced, so look for a burnt or shorted chip under the shields, in fact, remove them for the IPA cleaning

Nick please take more than 1 minute to read and answer a question. You probably would give better answers that way.
