NFC disables touchscreen, started after screen replacement.

iPhone 7 model A1778.

After replacing the display (with whatever display was available), the touchscreen became unresponsive immediately after using ApplePay.

Hard resetting the device [(volume-)+power] solves the problem, until next use of NFC. Repeat.

I love the practicality of paying with NFC, but it’s really annoying having to restart it every darn time.

If anyone has any clue about a more permanent solution, I’d appreciate it very much.

Whatever was available means I have no idea of the quality of the replacement, as it surely wasn’t original.

Not possible to reinstall the original one, as it was too cracked.

Thanks for the tips, though!

(with whatever display was available)

What exactly do you mean by this?

The first thing I would suspect is a poor quality or partially defective screen. Re-install the original screen if you can to see if the NFC issue goes away. If it does, order a better quality replacement screen. Also double check your work by following this guide to insure you didn’t make any mistakes with the screws, especially in the upper area where most of the antennas are embedded.
