top of the screen shows purple rainbow over it sometimes goes away

I got Panasonic tcp65vt50 with top of the screen having purple rainbow over it and sometimes it goes away and then comes back and sometimes tv shuts off and blinks rapidly 3 times! I can't understand what a hack is going on? Although I think it might be a board but why just half a screen? Usually A board has video processor so it would be the whole screen?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

the 3 blinks for your TV are caused by missing F15V (As a result of Shorted Vsus/Vda)which leads to choice 1. which is a bad A- boardand 2. choice a bad P-board. Vs/Vsus = Sustain Voltage. This is what makes the pixels glow due to electron excitement, which causes UV emission, which is then converted into visible light using the phosphors. Failure causes no picture. Low voltage causes faulty discharge which can result in (purplish look, uneven brightness, flickering pixels, etc.) Va/Vda/Vdata = Horizontal Data Voltage (failure) which would be indicative of a failed COF IC on the panel. Of course you can always have issue like this
