Can't read screen just has lines?

Dropped a kindle know can only see lines in it. Is it repairable or just garbage[gray one]

You should contact Amazon Kindle Support first, I've heard of them replacing the screens for free, so that's worth a shot.

The screen is certainly replaceable, depending on which model you have you can google around for videos/guides (iFixit has teardowns for some) and replacement parts.

Do you use a case? Some of the older cases cause a negative connection meesing up the screen. Contact Amazon Support tell them which case you use and if thats the problem they will replace the Kindle. Tell you to throw the old case away and give you credit to buy a new one.

Amazon is pretty good about replacing Kindle as most of their profit comes from content purchases. They don't like to lose customers. Call them. How honest you want to be about the reason the screen doesn't work is up to you.
