Xbox freezes when the game is loading or saving

I tried getting back on the grind playing Nascar Thunder 2004 one of the first games I ever played as a kid and I have experienced a number of problems…

1. half the tracks won’t load when choosing them and then the game freezes and the screen reads that the disc cannot be read
2. after I complete a race on season mode it attempts to save then fails and says the disc had an error
3. the game is reading that it is still 2001 lol, how do I change the internal clock?
4. If anyone has any idea what part of my Xbox specifically is causing me to experience these problems please lmk. I’m going to be attempting to do a quick cleaning of the inside of the Xbox hopefully to rid of the dust that collected over the years. Any other cleaning tips would be much appreciated!! Thank You!
