Sourcing logic board replacements?

I’m fairly new to sourcing Mac parts. I had a logic board go out on one of my office computers recently. Any advice on finding replacements?

I have the 820-5029-A board with the R9 M295X on it.

I found a listing on eBay and ifixmaccomputers.com, but they’re both rather pricey at 600-700. I’m inexperienced so that may just be the going rate for the board.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

I find TheBookYard in the UK as a great source! iMac Intel, Alu 27" Retina 5K Late 14/Mid 15

Apple has been getting more aggressive in controlling their parts on the open market. The iMac 5k models logic boards have been hard to get new, getting a good used board can be tough! I try not to use Amazon or eBay as I often get stiffed and getting a replacement or my money back can take too long for my customers needs so using a good parts house is the smarter direction.

FYI find the Apple P/N for your board as most use it not the board ID.

Nice resource. Looks like what I need. Regarding the apple P/N, is that printed on the board? If so, where? ( apologies if that's a stupid question haha, only saw the board id)

@Joshua Tyree - Finding P/N's can be a bit tricky, getting the service manuals is one way the other is leveraging what we have here and as you can see TheBookYard offer the info too once you know you can compare.

you can order from ifixit itself: iMac Intel 27" Retina 5K Display Logic Board Replacement

Look for the parts/pricing on the left. (I am not affiliated)

This board is out of stock and shows no signs of coming back into stock. I recall seeing this listing late November / early December. So that more so fits with the rarity of these boards.

Also, this listing does not denote what type of gfx chip is on the boards being sold. The one in the picture is not an R9 295X series, which is the chip present on the board I'm looking for. (It's soldered on, so there's no possibility of buying a compatible board and throwing the chip in)
