water damaged sony bravia need fixed!

My landlord left a beautiful tv at the place i moved in he said if i can fix it i can have it and that he left it there because his wife wiped it down with water and now the screen has about 1 foot and a half of a different colour on the right side. Was wondering if there is a good affordable way of fixing it

@tylerpatrone that does not look like water damage from the display at all. It is way to symmetric for that. What you are looking at is a solarized panel. It can be caused by a bad T-con board or a bad paneel. Let us know the exact model for your TV so we can try and check for schematics.

That model number comes back as a Technicolour/RCA Curtis brand. Does yours say Sony on it? You will need to remove the back panel from your TV and post some pictures of all the boards etc. so that we can see what you see. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question

I am fixing a similar TV or trying to apparently when you use water it runs down the screen and goes into the connections so probably is past repair to be honest. you can't buy new screens and the board which controls the screen cannot be replaced easily.
