I was told my phone needs it's motherboard replacing which they're doing at samsung. What did this mean
I've only had the phone since August surely this shouldn't happen. Wouldn't a new phone be appropriate

They are replacing the Brain of your Phone, The Circuit Board, The Logic Board, the component with chips that makes your phone work, probably your phone has a factory defect and needs to be Fixed.
It is iFixit is good if samsung is fixing your phone, that saves the planet.
