After changing the bottom case no front light

Hi, I just replaced the bottom case on my 2.4 GHz MacBook Core 2 Duo A1181; this was done to repair a broken battery latch on the back of the computer. Everything went well except for the front power light, it is not working. I have tried cleaning the contacts and I have checked and rechecked them for for a good connection. I also removed this part (power light-IR sensor) from the bottom case with the damaged latch and it is working just fine with the new bottom. However, removing the module was such a pain that I broke the frame on that case. Since this case was already trashed it really did not matter and I was actually trying not to damage the power light. Now my question is since this is such a tight fit does anyone have any advice, tips, precautions or just experience in install this module? Thanks in advance.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Bingo! Well with bad eyes, good tweezers, super needle nose pliers and a sharp Xacto knife it took about the same amount of time as it did to change the entire bottom case. But it is done.
