Colored lines on screen

So I'm debating buying this MacBook due to it's cheap price because of an issue. It has lines across the screen, it doesnt look like the LCD is cracked. Could it just be a loose cable on the motherboard?

@ran9aa - As the lines are equally spaced and repeat across the image this a display assembly failure.

Within the display assembly you have the LCD panel and you have some logic which converts the signal from the logic board to the needed signals the LCD needs we call this logic a T-CON board. In this model it is part of the display assembly MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Late 2013-Mid 2014) Display Assembly and here’s the guide to put it in MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Mid 2014 Display Assembly Replacement

So depending on what the cost of the system and its specs it maybe worth it, knowing you’ll need to fix it.
