won't connect to my wifi at home

my iphone will not connect to my wifi at home unless i am in the same room with the roter. do i have an antenna issue on the iphone?

take the phone apart and check for loose connectors

If all connectors are secure, the wifi antenna may be bad or the wifi board in it which I believe is on the logic board

Guessing is misleading to the person that is asking. the question here is for a 3G not a 4 or anything else.

Removed any 4 related sidenots and notes, but the 3G was never plagued with antennagate

Nick, I believe is correct. Since you are getting reception near the router, the connector is loose from the Logic Board. The connector for wifi is Connector #6, carefully reseat this connector to the Logic Board.
