I connected an external hard drive and popped in snow leopard, turn it on and hold down shift. both icon comes up and I picked the snow leopard. the apple logo comes on and that wheel is turning. then the screen goes, orange then pink and finial a light blue screen with horizontal lines comes Sometime a blue clear screen comes on I don't think there anything wrong with the video card Could be the inverter?? I am going to check the connections on the LCD to see if there anything loose

Plug it into an external monitor to isolate the problem. If the external is OK, the processor (GPU) is good.

hooked it up to an external monitor, same thing

lunchbx2,

This would indicate the video card.
