Microphone doesn’t work

My iPhone 7 doesn’t have a working microphone, no sound during video. Alexa in Amazon Alexa app turns on for split sec before it’s gone. when I try to use Siri it activates but it doesn’t hear anything, nor will the voice recorder start.

But when I connect my Bluetooth earbuds ( cheap onn earbuds with mic I think) Siri activated and it can hear me and voice recorder works, but when I record video there’s a greyed out slashed speaker symbol at the bottom. Alexa starts but only turns on for split sec.

also when I try to use lightning port to aux or the apple port earbuds , there’s no sound nor do volume buttons work

pls help

A guy at a repair place said it is a software issue, but I’m not sure. I’d like to know first because I really don’t want to have to reset my phone. But if I have to, could I back it up and then restore it from the backup. Could that work?

When you do calls is the speaker icon greyed out and can't be switched on? Does the phone take like 5 minutes to boot up all the time?

If yes to both it is an audio IC chip fault on the logic board. There are a few pads under the chip that get loose that need to be fixed which connect it to the logic board.

A local reputable phone repair shop that does microsoldering can get this fixed for you.

Yes, the speaker is sometimes greyed out, the phone used to take 5 min to boot up( it’s the boot loop virus) a restore fixed it

Yeah that is the solder balls under audio IC getting intermittently loose.
