Is the iPhone XR usable without BOTH camera's?

I work in a secure area so no cameras allowed. My iPhone 6 seems to have been retired by Apple so I am looking at my options for a new one in the near future. Maybe. Or maybe another version, getting close to retirement so would like to replace the cameras when I’m done if possible.

i belive it should work without cameras, the X does.

I use mine 99% as a phone and usually read the news feeds in between free time so trying to stretch the 6 out as far as I can but I have the faded stripe area in the middle of the screen so we shall see how long it lasts. Thanks for the answer, Jay
