My iPodtouch wont turn on or charge

My ipod touch wont turn on or charge, im trying to charge it for an hour already but still no sign of life. I just found it somewhere in my house i think its probably not been used 3 years ago its still being recognized by computer as dfu mode. Please help. I tried the combination button but still no sign

@cjpasturin11 “still no sign of life. I just found it somewhere in my house i think its probably not been used 3 years” indicative of a battery that has been discharged below it’s threshold off accepting a charge. Replace the battery and re-evaluate. iPod Touch 5th Generation Battery Replacement
