Try resetting the SMC. Unplug it, remove the battery, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Plug the Ac adapter back in and give it a try. Next put the battery in for 30 minutes and try. Giving us the last three figures of your serial number would allow us to identify your machine, (usually found in the battery compartment).

We need more info to help you out.

Does it not turn on when running of battery power only? Did you try running off AC (socket) power with or without the battery? Has it been dropped or had anything spilled on it since it was last working properly?

If nothing else, try removing the battery and plugging in the charger, if it still won't turn on, there's most likely an issue with your DC-in board which will prevent your computer from working without a charged battery and will also prevent your battery from charging.
