Zoom images are not clear

When I zoom into the digital zoom the images a fuzzy. I have the Sony HDR CX260 with the same digital zoom capabilities and those images a fine. What might be going on with my HDR-CX380? I have added two stills of a video. Test was from the Sony HDR CX260. Test1 is from the HDR CX380. same lighting, same zoom. The 380 is heavily pixalated vs the 260. Can the 380 be repaired and is it worth repairing?
