iPhone XS Max restarting after FaceID problem

Hi everyone,

I have problem with my iPhone XS Max. My back glass cracked, so I had it replaced, but something went wrong and my FaceID stopped working. Problably something is damaged in FaceID module. Since then my iPhone restarts itself. I was told, that it restarts because of faulty FaceID. Could that be true or is restarting always problem of the motherboard?

Thank you for your answers.

Unexpected reboots may be caused by a number of reasons, including a poor quality housing, however if Face ID is faulty it may easily be part of the problem. Try disconnecting the face ID cable and see if that fixes the issue. You may try the same with other housing related connectors to try pinpoint the faulty part before worrying about the board.
