iPod Touch Has Water Damage, Screen Is Unresponsive, Any Suggestions?

I dropped by Ipod Touch in the sink and after leaving it to dry for a few days it is back on the right date and time and even lights up again, turning on and off like it should, but the screen is unresponsive. I have tried the rice thing and even taken it apart but still the screen does not seem to work. Does anyone know a trick to getting it to respond again?

Shanequa, there are really no tricks to this. I would suggest that you follow this guide Once you get it cleaned and made sure that you have no corrosion etc, reevaluate and see what works. If the screen should remain unresponsive after cleaning the cables and connectors, I would think that it is time do get a new digitizer....Good Luck

Is it the same iPod with the same problem? Did you follow the guide? It is better if you ask your own question to get your own answer to your device. Click on the link "Ask a question" on the right side of this page and give as much DETAIL as possible. Good Luck
