Upgrade to 512gb mSATA/NVME drive is not recognized

Hey gus, i’ve searched a few hours through these forum and I am couldn’t find a similiar thread, if I have overlooked it sorry & please delete.

I upgraded my 13” retina mid 2014 macbook with a INDMEM 512gb mSATA/NVME ssd (https://www.ebay.de/itm/123940580603) thus no adapter required. it says my macbook is compatible, but upon installing the new drive (several times to recheck) the drive does not show up in diskutilites nor in diskutil list in terminal.

could the ssd be faulty or am I missing a step here.

much love

Sounds like you have a defective part. I would speak with INDMEM support folks to see what they say.

I just bought an 1TB Indmem drive to my customer. Regret in the first minute.

The Mac see only 1GB capacity, possible to format but still 1GB space.

Just wrote to the seller, but I swear NEVER EVER buy Indmem stuff anymore.

Very low quality and not reliable.
