sim reader with a broken trace

Hi, i bought an iphone to have a play with and inside was butchered, managed to get most sorted however the sim reader was removed and looks like a trace went with it.

It has five of the six contacts on the logic board but one is black.

Do you see any copper at all? There is usually a small pin hole that is in the middle of all that black. Post a pic, I may be able to save it if I see the damage.

Can't see any hole. What way does the trace go? does it always go downwards through a hole or does it continue under the aluminium cover? Cant see any copper at all

Yea that is difficult to see. The trace goes to the back of the board I believe. I am afraid that you may have an ipod touch at the moment.

Just so you know and anyone with this problem, I have successfully fixed it. I done my research to find that pin 5 can be NC or VPP which is an optional pin. I soldered a new sim reader and all is fine..

Full signal and contacts etc, the only thing I assume you lose is the abilty to write to sim (if thats even used on an iphone)

Any way thanks for your help hectordtruong and so remember this if it happens to you :-)
