trona3518 that sounds like a bad power board. Let us know the exact model for your TV. Next remove the back cover and disconnect the main board from the power board and try to turn it on. See if your TV turns on now and has backlight (you can see those through the little holes in the back of the panel. If not then you will need to take some good pictures of your boards and the interconnect cables and post those with your question. That will allow us to see what you see. You will also need a multimeter to check the voltages on your powerboard to the main board.
