Clothes still wet after spin cycle

WA40J3000AW/A2 Top load Samsung washing machine will get stuck on the spin cycle and will leave the clothes wet. Sometimes taking out a few articles of clothing and restarting will allow the washer to complete the spin cycle. However this issues seems to be getting worse and worse.

We went to Lowes to see if we could get someone to check on our washer but they said it would be cheaper to buy a whole new washer. I want to try my hand at fixing it before I resort to that. Does anyone have any ideas on a potential solution?

xxjwiles17xx you are aware of the recall on this washer due to the " top can detach unexpectedly from the washing machine chassis during use, posing a risk of injury from impact. "

Chosen Solution

xxjwiles17xx  this “Sometimes taking out a few articles of clothing and restarting will allow the washer to complete the spin cycle.” could be a motor issue as well as a clutch issue. If the washer does not spin fast enough the laundry will remain fairly wet. The other thing to check is the drain pump. If it is clogged or partially clogged the water will not leave the drum and thus the laundry will remain wet.
