Optical Drive Switches Broken - Do I need a new Drive?

Hello,

Here’s my problem:

As you can see, the two switches on the left rear side of the PS4 Slim optical drive are torn off. Is it correct that there need to be two little prongs coming out of the metal enclosures so that the drive even recognizes the discs and sets everything in motion? In my case, there is nothing protruding out of those two…

I can insert and eject the disc manually, but the mechanism doesn’t work on its own.

Do I have to buy a new drive if I want it to function automatically and not use the screwdriver every time I want to change a disc?
