iPad is disabled connect to itunes on MacOS Catalina

Hi, I have a ipad with error message “iPad is disabled connect to itunes” but itunes is no more available on MacOS Catalina !

Can somebody please help me to restore this ipad ?

Hi, Thank you for your answers ;-)

I finally found the solution. iPad was managed by “apple configurator 2”, so I started the iPad in recovery mode and connect to “configurator 2”. Then click on “recovery”.

Thank you so much! This did the trick. I downloaded the configurator and clicked around with update (I believe I had to restart the iPad once to get the process going). It installed a new operating system.

You know what? I read an article about this exact same problem!

So here is it: iPad is disabled connect to iPad

Basically, you hook up your iPad with your mac, and you will see a notification telling you to restore the iPad.

If not, the easiest solution is to use Joyoshare iPad System Recovery to restore the iPad without data loss.

Resetting the ipad can be done using the Finder on Mac OS Catalina.

  1. turn off iPad and unplug from Mac
  2. start Finder
  3. press Home button
  4. plug iPad in while Home button is pressed
  5. iTunes logo will appear on the iPad
  6. iPad will appear in Finder
  7. a prompt to update or reset to factory settings will appear on the Finder.
  8. Follow on screen instructions to update or reset the iPad

if you have a separate device like windows you can use iTunes from there, or upgrade to a newer version of mac os
