wont come on after a storm. it use to power on. tv is in excellent condition

dan u let us know what the exact model for your TV is. Most commonly it is the main board and then the power board that can fail during a storm. You do want to go ahead and remove the back of the TV. Check for obviously damaged parts like charred or missing components etc. Use a multimeter and measure the voltages between the power board and the main board. The values are printed on the board. Post some good pictures of the boards and the interconnect cables with your question so that we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question
