Screen not sitting flat battery side

I have an Iphone 7 plus that was in need of a screen replacement I have done this job many times for friends and family with god success but this one a real pain. The screen will not stay down on the left side (battery side) the right side is fine with nothing interfering I have read the threads about ribbon spacer being the wrong place. I had an extra brand new screen and this one does the same thing so I believe its something in the phone any ideas?

You should check the battery for swelling, it gets old and swells up but it only shows once the screen comes off. It also could swell if the phone has been overcharged, I would definitely check for swelling . Hope this helps

Hi @tromo100

If your battery is in good shape, you may have some frame damage. All you need to do is remove the screen assembly, place the iPhone on a flat surface and look for any gap between the frame and the surface. Use gentle pressure and keep checking until the frame is straight again.

Using a water resistant adhesive kit for this model will also help to keep the screen in place.
