Why can I find a replacement glass for MacBook Pro but not Air?

I have searched all over the internet to purchase replacement glass for a 13” Air.

Several inexpensive results come up for Pro replacements but the Air results are sparse. Those results that do come up are far more expensive then the Pro results; what gives?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Here's the needed part MacBook Air 13" (Late 2010-Mid 2011) Display Assembly. I recommend going this way Vs trying to replace the LCD panel its self.

While that can be done getting the panel alone, a good working display panel is often hard as they are so fragile when they are shipped as a single panel.

We bought them in a crate of 20 directly from China and even then we got a few broken ones.

Very simple! The Airs don’t have a cover glass unlike the MacBook Pro’s.

Here’s the breakdowns of the two different displays:

Older Unibody: MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Late 2008 and Early 2009 LCD Replacement

Air’s & Retina models: MacBook Pro Retina Display Teardown

As we can see the newer designs use a single plate design where the older use a cover glass.
