Thin red vertical line in center of picture that goes away after tv

wendallmaloy  if the line goes all the way from top to bottom and is always in the same location, it is most likely that your TV panel is developing a TAB error. It is possible that once enough het develops the loosening connection tightens up and close the circuit. Thus the line disappear. you can easily find out if that is what is happening by removing the back from your TV. Then locate the thin flat ribbon cable that enters your TV (there will be a few of them that enter the panel at regular distances. Find the cable that enters where the line appears. Then gently push on the area where the line is. If that makes the line disappear you have found the problem. Not much a DIY’er can do to fix this. Sometimes applying some pressure on it by inserting something between the TAB and the case will help other times some good tape to pull it onto the contact will work.
