Touch ID works, but home button does not

Last night I dropped my SE in some water, luckily I was able to get it out immediately and shove it in a towel. The phone worked with no issues for several hours, but this morning the home button functionality was not responsive. I was still able to unlock my phone. After another hour or so the functionality was back, but went away again after about 20 minutes. I’d rather not have to get a replacement button as the tough ID is still fully functional.

It sounds like the button itself may have been damaged. You’ll probably need a replacement.
