Can’t read direct SATA connected HDD?

Hey all , i have an external drive that I format to APFS in stat to usb3 adapter in my MacBook Pro, when I try to connect the hard drive to the standard SATA in my mac, I can see that the hard drive is recognized but can't use it, its saying "the disk you inserted was not readable by the computer", but when I connect the hard drive to the same mac via the USB-SATA adapter, its looks fine and work correctly. How can I fix that without format the hard drive again?

Answer this question I have this problem too

What is the mac you are trying to install this drive in? Is this the only internal drive?

I’m suspecting the partitions of your drive where not setup to be a bootable drive. Apples APFS is still a work in progress! So you may encounter issues that where not expected.

I would try re-installing the OS onto the drive so see if that fixes things.
