Green Light, No Power.

Wehelloso.

I have a Green.. then orange light on the charger. Starts green, then goes orange after a couple of seconds.

I started testing the power rails with a multimeter, i got to PPVRTC_G3H, and that one isn't showing any voltage.

I also put it on beep mode, and got no beep on the circuit either. (i also tested the other ones over at the back of the CPU that are related to PPVRTC_G3H and they're also not shwing voltage or beeping.

I've looked with a microscope EVERYWHERE on this board, and i can't find any damaged or weird looking components. SO if this power rail is down... how do i fix it?? If it was a louis rossman video, or anyone else, i'd look around and ... BINGO... a dirty filth green capacitor that needs to be replaced... you NEVER see THIS problem..

rail is down but NOTHING is green and needs replacing... so... HELP!!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Unplug the battery and remove the mag-safe adapter. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Reconnect the battery then the mag-safe. You should get a spontaneous reboot.

@colorfree Looks like you've dramatically changed the original question. Please don't do that as my original answer was based on the original question. Just put an addendum to the original.

What happened when you did the battery change?

The mag-safe LED starting green then changing to orange is perfectly normal.

I am not Rossman (he lives in a different world than most normal techs).

@mayer Really sorry about that. it's just the situation changed while i was fixing. So the predicament I'm currently in, is that i have the charger plugged in, but i have no power on the PPBUS_G3H rail. I've tried the fuse the scehmatics say to try and i get nothing, I've also tried over on the backside of the board and again nothing from that capacitor. Also, i checked if there was a short, i put the multimeter on beep or diode mode and i checked the fuse and it didn't beep?

Now, just so you know, I've checked over the board with a microscope, and i literally can't find ANYTHING that looks bad, damaged or bad soldering, so do you have any ideas what i need to do when i have no PPBUS_G3H but i have no physically damaged components. Because literally all of the Tutorials on Youtube all revolve around the same thing, when there's no PPBUS_G3H, there's a miserable looking component somewhere... help! (Also thank you so much for you help previously, believe me , your time and patience are not lost on me, thanks

Maybe @arbaman Has better idea on component level repairs that I do. I just don't go there.

@mayer Hard to tell, there are hundreds things in picture to create G3H, including the overly confusing SMC circuitry. No divination abilities here either :)
