iPhone keeps restarting and won't charge...why?

6 Days ago I jumped in a pool with my iPhone. I didn't realize it was in my pocket until after 10 jumps in :/. Bad news for the iPhone :(...So I took the back off and removed the battery and the sim card for about 3 days, put everything back in place and turned it on. Everything is fine besides the fact that it won't charge anymore and it keeps restarting itself. Apple won't do anything for me because its from water damage. Does anyone have any idea whats wrong with it? Is there a specific part that I need to replace? Just the battery or more? If I can't figure this out soon I'm going to sell it for parts on eBay and get something else, but I really love my iPhone so if someone knows anything let me know!

I also have restored twice and that didn't make a difference so I'm positive its some kind of hardware issue.

Thanks,

Nick

Nick McGowan follow this guide and once you have it accomplished, reevaluate. My suggestion at this time would be to definitely start with a new battery, AFTER you cleaned your phone. If you do not open your phone, you will increase the risk of failure due to corrosion at a later time. Good Luck.

That happened to me first just leave it alone it needs to dry inside for 4-5 days straight and stop trying to charge it that will increase the water damage and dont try to turn it on. then dry it with a hair dryer on the secreen back and earphone jack also the dock connecter then try and turning it on. hope this works for you
