Is there a trick to replacing the battery cover screws?

Everytime I attempt to put the screw back into the battery cover, the screw seems to change polarity flip upside down or jump out and stick to the side of the case..

Is there a good tip /technique to doing this I wonder?

I’ve got this far after first time battery and display renewal,so this is infuriating to say the least !!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Magnetize a Screwdriver

the screws will then go to the screwdriver

Thanks Bill

I was thinking that was why it was happening it seemed the screwdriver was changing the polarity hence the flipping over of the screw as soon as the magnetized driver and screw got near the hole -like it was being repelled like magnets do when you try and push them together if you known what I mean..

Never had that happen before so what was going on there I'm not sure...It shouldn't be spitting the screw out should it!

In the end I used an actual magnetic bar of the same diameter as the screw head and was able to start it off in the hole so it wouldn't be able to jump out and then screw it fully down with the driver...lucky to find that magnet , and now I'll keep it safe in my tools.

Thanks for the link I'll check that out
