iPhone X no power

Help! My wife’s iPhone X recently went to 1% battery, died and now won’t turn on or show any signs of life. I ordered a replacement battery on this website and successfully installed it but it didn’t fix the issue. I’ve tried the hard reset sequence also with no luck. Do I now have a $1000 paperweight? I would really appreciate any guidance given.

Thanks!

Jason

What happened in the days leading up to this issue; was the phone dropped, repaired or came into contact with water?

This could be as simple as a bad battery (although iFixit batteries are usually very good) or it could be a logic board issue. You could try disconnecting the screen and cameras from the logic board (battery first!), leaving only the board, dock flex and battery and then see if the phone will be recognized by an iTunes enabled computer. If it doesn’t see the phone, then it is most likely a logic board issue. If the phone does boot, then add one flex at a time until it stops working to determine the faulty part (again, always disconnect the battery).

There were zero issues with it before this happened, just normal use with no dropping or water. Ok thank you! I'll give it a try today!

How long have you owned the device for? If you've owned it for under a year, go to Apple and they will replace it with a new one as long as there's no physical damage and as long as it hasn't been serviced anywhere. If no warranty or apple care I'd recommend minhos answer.
