Got a new remote for my Samsung smart TV. I paired it by holding down the buttons and got the confirmation on my TV that it is paired. All the buttons work except the power button. It will not turn on or off the TV. The TV does not have a manual power button. Thanks for any help

May be try a different brand of all - in - one TV remote. Not an direct answer but you can buy something like this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TV-B-Gone
from ebay or so on.
