Randomly powering down after a couple of seconds

I have just bought a Pure-Fi at a thrift-shop as my old one died about 7-8 years ago and I just wanted one again. I testet it and now at home it has the same problem my unit had back then. After playing about 1 minute of music, it shuts down (As if you pushed the Power-button) even when plugged in. Do I have to replace the battery in order to get it Working again or is this another error? The Shutoff Time is not related to the volume settings.

Thanks.

Have you tried resetting the unit? Use a pen or a paper clip to press the reset button (shown in the image) on the bottom of your Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 for 2 seconds.
