iPhoto has problems storing pictures.

I replaced a hard drive and migrated over all of my photos. Now the performance and speed of iPhoto is slow. Lately, the computer will not accept pictures off the camera at all. How can I fix this?

If you hold down command + option then launch iPhoto. I'd check off all the boxes and see if it can repair it self. It will take some time but I've seen good results. Also as machead3 said check your free hard drive space.

and is the macbook slow itself or is it just iphoto ?

and what rpm does the hard drive go ? 4200rpm - 5400rpm -7200rpm

because if it is a 4200 that could be a problem for the slow things

and did u try update iphoto recently?

All the updates are complete, only the iPhoto is not working properly, I tried to let it self repair several times and I have 500G of Hard Drive space. Not sure of the RPM of the drive.

How much "free space" do you have? You need ~20% for VMEM, Temp files & folders.

Have you emptied iPhoto's trash and checked for duplicates?
