Fuses blow. Is it ALWAYS an issue on power board.

51 inch Samsung suddenly went dark. Replaced bad ceramic slow-blow fuse, plugged in and new fuse immediately blew. Front and back of power board reveal no visible damage. Don't consider myself qualified to track down and replace individual component, but willing to replace entire power board. Therefore, my question is: is the underlying problem causing blown fuses almost always on the power board? Itll be a $100 wasted effort, if not.

Answer this question I have this problem too

No. Any shorted electronic component (or loose wire for example) can potentially cause a fuse to blow. A short circuit means that the power supply will be forced to supply a maximum amount of current (amperage) which will exceed a fuse's current maximum rating. Once that maximum rating has been exceeded the fuse will blow to prevent such incidents like fires starting. The fuse, like the breakers in your house, aren't necessarily there to protect your electronic/electrical devices.

Did u check ur rating like on my fuse it says t10 250v if it doesn’t have the correct rating it will blow instantly like I put a t2 250v and blew instantly because of improper rating
