Why is my phones battery drain quickly?

My Huawei p9 battery drains very quickly. Sometimes phone shuts down at 50-60% and when I turn it back on it shows 1%. Do I need to replace my battery or is it some kind of software error?

The battery will need to be replaced, it’s gone faulty based from those symptoms.
