Why my SSD link speed is slow?

I bought my SSD around 6 month ago I think. And since then I have been experimenting this kind of "slow down time".

Like suddenly the cursor is not moving smoothly as it should, even the trackpad gets buggy and then the only thing I can do is restart the laptop.

I also get an error message while rebooting it. And the it's ok.

But it happens like twice a week now even more sometimes, it's irritating.

My MacBook Pro is a 13” Early 2015.

And the SSD I got from iFixit is this one : OWC Aura Pro X2 SSD

Things I would try is to make sure the drive is not overly full as the wear leveling process could be struggling trying to prevent you from over stressing what few free blocks you do have from being over worn.

Of course you could just backup your data and reformat the drive to see if that helps.

Basically, your drive is too small for the amount of data you are storing. Smaller sized SSD 128~256 GB need about 1/3 of the drive free to work effectively, larger 512 GB ~ 1TB need 1/4 free.

And lastly, if these actions don’t help, I would contact the iFixit store for an exchange as you have a bad drive.
