What cables do I need to connect my iPhone XR to the projector?

Hi Emalee, if you want to connect your iPhone to the projector with a cable then you will need a USB Type C to HDMI cable which will cost you around $10 to $30 in United States. But it has a disadvantage you cant move your iPhone now.
There is another way to connect the iPhone to the projector wirelessly, using a wireless display dongle, so you can move your phone while it’s connected to the projector.

Even this topic is already 4 years old (and possibly dead for the OT) i would like to enhance the solution for other readers with the same problem.
There are original Apple or 3rd party adapters on the market to connect your iPhone with a projector, depending on the connections the projector provides:
- Lightning to HDMI
- Lightning to VGA
- Lightning to Digital AV
- Lightning to DVI
- Ligthning to Display Port
To make it wireless you can use the solution from above mentioned video, or you simply buy an Apple TV device and connect it via HDMI to the projector. More costly, but everything inside the Apple ecosystem.
