Is there a way to know if the force touch gasket still works?

I recently removed the screen of my apple watch series 2 with success without touching the force touch gasket at all. It’s still laying there like if nothing happenned !

I was wondering if there was a way to control if it’s still working before putting adhesive to it and seal the new screen.

Or is it only working once the screen is sticked to it ?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

As long as everything is properly connected, I don’t see any reason why adhesive would effect functionality.

So you think that if I put the screen on the gasket without adhesive, I'd be able to try if the force touch is working ?

It's adhesive, it holds stuff together and isn't conductive so as long as the gasket the screen is touching as normal via gravity or a tool keeping everything together I see no reason why.
