The higher the score, the more repairable we consider the device to be. You can learn more, and see other examples, here: https://www.ifixit.com/laptop-repairabil...

A perfect score of 10/10 means the device is incredibly easy to work on and requires little effort to replace components, whereas a score of 0/10 means it can be very time-consuming to replace components inside.

Speaker is easy, battery is either hard or expensive.

Hard way: peel the battery off from the case.

Expensive way: replace the case module including the battery as a whole.

Thanks Tom for your valuable input. I am good at repairing iPhones but wanted to make sure the process to replace both items is not complicated. Saw the iFixit videos, seems doable. But any points to keep in mind then do let me know. iFixit won’t courier the adhesive remover any chance you would know what I should look for in the local market (Singapore). Thank you

@wongshanjie Only thing I would worry about is accidentally puncturing the battery (I've seen it happen to many people). This can cause a thermal event and is a safety hazard. I'd suggest to be very careful and delicate while performing the procedure and to keep 8 cups of sand on hand to dump it on the computer in the case that the battery starts swelling.

Thy rating of 1/10 is an over all repairability rating for the whole machine. You should have no problem just replacing the speaker.
