Touch screen not responding

Hi,

I cracked the glass on my iphone, but it was not a big problem as it was at the top so just left it as I had put a new glass in it a few months before. Yesterday I went jogging whilst playing my music on it. It was raining but inside my pocket was just a bit damp. Now the touch is completely unresponsive. I can see everything perfectly on the screen and the home button works etc. Any ideas what part I must buy?

Thanks

Carl

The part that is not functioning is your Front Screen with attached digitizer. This is attached by Flex Cable #2.

I would first carefully open the iPhone and reseat Flex Cable #2 to the Logic Board. See if this fixes it.

If not, and you decide to replace the digitizer, purchase 3G front screen with attached digitizer, and make sure it comes with the adhesive strips for the top and bottom of the screen.

Ok, tried reseating Flex cable 2 but still no response. I will replace the front screen with attached digitizer and see how that goes.

Thanks for the advice!
