Does the LCD flex cable require micro soldering if it's damaged?

It is my first time attempting to replace the screen on an Apple watch altogether, and I tore off the LCD Flex cable, unfortunately, from what I am reading, I think it requires micro soldering…..does anyone know if this is correct? I sure hope not :(

Answer this question I have this problem too

Thanks so much! Unfortunately for me, that means I have to find a micro soldering tech to do the work for me :( Oh well, either that, or I just buy a new watch, they only run about 150 now anyhow, that’s probably what I will do, and use this one to mess around with and learn with, I appreciate your response!! I honestly never realized people actually answered you on these forums, I will definitely be using this much more often!!

@iphonefanatik - Hold on here! If you’ve damaged one or more of the three cables that go from the SIP to the display assembly as seen here

You’ll need a new SIP module as the cables are not available as a spare and you likely damaged the SIP logic board! As an example the iFixit team damaged their watch during the teardown! The two blue ovals are torn cabled one is lifted and the other fully ripped off.
