Cannot connect JBL charge 4 to JBL charge 3 in stereo mode.

When using the JBL connect app, the app will not allow me to connect my JBL charge 3 to my charge 4 in stereo mode; it instantly defaults back to party mode every time I try. Has anyone else had this issue? Both firmware’s are up to date on each device and the JBL connect app is up to date aswell.

Answer this question I have this problem too

The stereo mode only works with two exactly same models. Or should work. I have two Charge 4s and stereo still doesn’t work with JBL Connect.

Hahahaha it’s hilarious how ill conceived the stereo mode was implemented by the team at JBL and Harmon (parent company of JBL)

It just doesn’t work!

I have many pro audio products from DBX as well that is also owned by Harmon and it’s sad to say but they must have the worst software engineer’s in the business because it all sucks!

The hardware is not bad but as soon as anything needs to connect to a computer or in the case of the Bluetooth speakers a phone via software their products fail miserably.

Don’t waste your time with their garbage as I have.

Sorry but JBL's issues are WAY bigger than their latest firmware offering. I've been there and done ALL that necessary updating and resetting of the related software and equipment, only to be consistently FRUSTRATED by the pretty sound AND YET constant, intermittent lose of stereo and connectivity, at least as it concerned my previous iPhone 10 and now my i12 Pro Max. Any change in iTunes or other music apps tends to knock the JBL hardware out of stereo, and I own two Charge 3's and two Charge 4's. JBL NEEDS TO FIND BETTER SOFTWARE ENGINEERS....
