Replacing my ebrake with a hydraulic ebrake?

My parking brake has gone out and ive decided to put a hydraulic in there instead but im not too sure where or how to mount it

Casa The Tracer Main  there is absolutely no easy way to do that. Reason for that is that your MX-5 is not setup for that because NHTSA requires that:

  1. Each vehicle shall be equipped with a parking brake system of a friction type with solely mechanical means to retain engagement.
  2. The control of the parking brake shall be independent of the service brake control, and may be either a hand or foot control.
  3. An indicator shall be activated when the ignition (start) switch is in the ``on (``run) position and the parking brake is applied.
  4. If this idea is somehow connected to some “drifting” you may need to check those sites and check things like this video.
