It is possible that the sunroof motor has gone out. How do I know this? My 2014 Toyota Camry SE did the same exact thing before I bought it [and it has been fixed, today actually!]. I would see if you have any kind of warranty associated with this car, and if not, still take it in to get it repaired. With mine, it would intermittently work once I drove it for awhile and was in park. I’d try that to see if you can at least get it closed.
